Our Christmas Card this year.

Almost 2008! Time sure flies. It's time again to resolve to do better in a few aspects of my life. I've been pondering these for a few weeks now trying to come up with some goals I can stick too. There are so many things to improve upon.

1. Make my bed daily. (I am so bad at this, mostly because I HATE my bedding. It's the same old stuff I got when we were first married. Maybe new bedding will be incentive enough.)

2. Conceive and Bare our 4th and FINAL child. (I can't wait to be pregnant again, I totally miss it. I also can't wait to lose all the baby weight one final time and feel like we are done and have a complete family.)

3. Grow Spiritually. (short for many things including prayer, reading scriptures, regular family night, and monthly temple attendance.)

Too many sweets...

So Christmas afternoon we headed over to my sister's house where we ate Linner and quite a few delicious treats. Obviously Ava had a bit too many cookies because on the way home she threw it all up, in the car, all over herself. Yuck! Luckily it all stayed in her carseat, so we pulled it out and stuck the whole thing in the shower. Here she is in all her clothes getting rinsed off. She was so happy to be in there and feeling much better.

Day 3

My gal pal Jamie and I taking a rest before the start of Day3.
The girls in line for Pirates.
A souvenir I wouldn't buy Anna, so a picture of it is the second best thing, right?
Ava holding onto her fries for dear life! We ate horribly for 3 whole days.
Lainie was loving all the characters. I don't know that she even knows who brer fox is, but she wanted to meet him anyway.

Day 3 was spent at Disneyland again. We re-visited some rides and went on a few new ones. Jamie and Brandon left around 3pm. We opted to stay a bit longer because we didn't need to be back for anything. We did some souvenir shopping and watched the Christmas parade then headed home.

Day 2

We spent day 2 @ California Adventures. It was our first time to this park. We took our time in the morning and arrived around 11am. It was another fun filled day. Paul and I were able to leave our kids with Jamie and go on a ride together. Most of the time though the guys would go on a ride with the kids and then get a spouse pass for Jamie and I to go second. We didn't mind. It was fun seeing all of kids have such fun. (husbands included.)

Day 1

Jamie and her new boyfriend.
The girls saw Pluto right as we entered the park.
4 of the girls with Brandon walking through Disneyland. He was getting some seriously funny looks from other people.
Paul, Brandon and girls riding Big Thunder Mountain.
Beautiful girls with Jasmine.
That's a corndog.
We were so excited getting ready this morning! Who doesn't love taking their kids and sharing in the fun of Disneyland?! We said goodbye to the Hirts and made it to Disneyland around 9:30am. There we met up with our neighbors the McNary's and the fun began. Near the end of the day we went to downtown disney and ate dinner at Goofy's kitchen. The food was delicious and the kids loved meeting and taking pictures with quite a few disney characters. We left around 10:30 pm, it was definitely a fun filled day.

a long, long drive.

It took us about 6 hours to get from our house to Disneyland. We left in the early afternoon and went straight there for our tickets for the next day. We then headed over to Ladera Ranch where our friend's the Hirts live and stayed over for the night. (It was so nice to visit with you guys! Hope you had fun in Phoenix.) On the way, Paul was testing out his new camera which he got from his girls just for this trip.

We are off to Disneyland! I will post many pictures upon our return. Merry Christmas everyone.

Love this!

I used to scrapbook, but lets face it-I have 3 babies and I'm still working on baby #1's babybook. I probably won't ever get to any other sort of scrapbook. My cousin Sarri found this sweet new site and I'd love to share. I'm so getting some of these.

Dress up

I wasn't kidding when I said dress up is an everyday occurrence for Lainie Grace. It is a struggle to get her into any sort of real clothing.

So I broke out my Christmas stuff from storage a few days after Thanksgiving, but I am a firm believer in no Christmas decor until Dec.1st. I should have just put it all up in November though because since then things have been crazy and we just barely got a tree and decorated it last night! We usually cut our own down but since we were so late in the season it seemed like more of a chore. We got this one in our local supermarket parking lot, only 15 bucks since it's so late. Thanks Adam for all your help with that! I've also given up on the lights on the house. It's not worth the work in the cold for just 10 days of lights. Next year I'll get started earlier.

I feel like it's been forever since I took pictures of my children. Here are just a few shots from today. Ava: wishing she was outside playing with her sisters, but it was too cold. Anna: Just before she left for school. Lainie: dressed up like a princess like she does daily. (What's left of her black eye is from a metal nativity falling on her face. Ouch!)

Sitting with Santa

After our family pictures we went over to our little valley's fire station where we had a community Christmas party. There was lots of good food, entertainment and a special visit from Santa. Ava was not thrilled with the strange man with the beard holding her.

Attempt @ Family Pictures

I attempted our own family pictures monday evening. It didn't go as well as I would have hoped. Ava's attention span was about .5 milliseconds. It was hard using a tripod and trying to get myself situated in the photo. I wish I had more time in SLC for you to take them Leah. I'll work on that for next year. Anyway...I think I may have one or two okay for christmas cards, but we'll probably have to redo them for a nice shot for the grandparents.

Let it Snow

Saturday night it started snowing a bit and we woke up to a winter wonderland of snow. The girls were completely excited. They went out early this morning in fear it would melt before we came home from church...and it did. We are thankful for the hour or so that we got to play in it.
